Nice build indeed t.gees! smiley20

I wonder if maybe these cabinets would work with my RCF L15P530's. I've been meaning to build a box for them anyways. EBP is a little low, though.

It does, the high Qes means it doesn't have the lowest Fc possible but the response is much flatter up to 160 Hz then normal. It's the first driver I've seen that tips 103 dB/W/M well below 100 Hz, whilst being as flat as it is.

Best regards

Cubo

Well, I'll give it a build, then. Thanks for the info. on that.
This will be interesting to see how it turns out. I'll be powering it with a crown CE2000.

Cheers!

I found these specs instead:

Resonance Frequency Fs 46 Hz
DC resistance Re 6.9 ohm
Mechanical Factor Qms 12.18
Electical Factor Qes 0.67
Total Factor Qts 0.64
BL Factor BL 15.3 T/m
Effective moving mass Mms 78.6 Gram
Equivalent cas air load Vas 153.9 Liter
Effective piston area Sd 855.3 Cm2
Voice coil inductance Le 0.78 mH
Half space efficiency Eff 2.19 %

Found on: www.acrspeaker.com/productdetail ... product=19

Do you have an older version? Anyway, it looks like both sets of T/S-parameters are suitable (tho somewhere upon the upper edge), however Xmax isn't quoted on both occasions, so it's difficult (not to say impossible) to say how much power these drivers would handle.

@t.geessounds: Thanks!

Best regards

T.Gees! I read your response and smiled WIDE smiley4

I just finished one up and I'm feelin' ya.

Before Cubo, by lows were "BAAAAHHHHHHHMMMM, BAAAAAHHHMMMMMM, BAAAAAAHHHMMMMM".

Now it's, " POOOOOMMMMM POOOOOMMMMM POOOOOOMMMMMMM"- much more what I was looking for. Of course the speaker I'm using is a low/mid type so it's not going super super low, but for me it's necessary at this point. I'll get an 18 when I really need a lot of lows.
This box is WAY (!) more efficient than a reflex enclosure, which is what I usually use. I'm running a Crown CE2000 to my setup and it's doing just fine- on only one channel. To get this kind of sound out of a reflex cabinet, it would definitely have to be something bridged.

I'll post a couple build pics.

Already planning on a second build in the very near future (next week).
