Any cutlist for this plan? is a 18LFG400 a good replacement for G401?

does the slot throat on the front of the drivers actually do anything? would have thought this design would work better if you turned the speakers round sothe faced each other and angled the baffles slightly so the central chamber flares toward the mouth.

has anyone on here tried building these? I'm considering it in the future but would like to see some build pics or at least get some verification that they work well/ are worth building first.

In the couple years i have been putting cabs together and experimenting i have found that you cannot stray from the driver that a bandpass or bandpass horn box is designed for.

Ok.. Would the Eminence Kilomax be a better choice? *Power handling: 1,250 watts RMS/2,500 watts max *VCdia: 4" *Le: 2.38 mH *Impedance: 8 ohms *Re: 5.84 ohms *Frequency range: 33-600 Hz *Magnet weight: 109 oz. *Fs: 33 Hz *SPL: 95.5 dB 1W/1m *Vas: 8.5 cu. ft. *Qms: 14.24 *Qes: 0.58 *Qts: 0.56 *Xmax: 9.8 mm *Dimensions: Overall Diameter: 18", Cutout Diameter: 16.56", Mounting Depth: 8.15".The XMAX spec seems to be more like the RCF driver.

gtrmech wrote: How would this design work with the Eminence Sigma Pro 18-A2 8ohm driver. Its also hard to tell from the drawing exactly how the driver opening is put together. Is it completely open and the 2 small braces go across the opening, or is the opening only between the braces??

From the designer:

"The Sigma appears a bit limited to me: Its specs while not too bad are not optimal, its Xmax of 6.1mm is not enough and is going to limit output.
Therefore I do not recommend this driver for the MN-246."
