I noticed that in some of the bigger cubo's (but not the 12), the designer offers a choice of mounting the driver with magnet inside the mouth or in the chamber.
Do you think "magnet in mouth driver mounting" in my Cubo 12 is worth trying? would make it play lower ? (I haven't check the dimensions yet to see if the driver would fit smiley36 )

Part of the Cubo-design philosophy is that you can place the driver in two ways. With the magnet in the horn for the deepest bass, with the magnet in the chamber for most output. Currently only the Cubo Sub 215 doesn't have this option.

I know that this design works with a varous of drivers that match the given specs, I know that there is a FAD, but is there a driver that is absolutly dedicated if money plays not (or better "less") a role?!?
I´m building a low-end-mod-version at the moment, use an unknown fostex-driver that is lying around in the workshop first, but I know already that must be updated in the near future...

Okay, think I will give the 3012LF a try then sometime in the future, the fostex works for homeuse well enough (say this now, we'll see what's in a couple of weeks happen smiley17 )

If money doesn't play a role, 4" VC (or larger), Low Qts (0.25 <), neo-drivers are the mind set. Personally I was charmed by the B&C 12NW100 and the Beyma 12P1000nd. Beware the 12SW1300nd and 18Sound 12NLW9300 are also out there.
Then again it doesn't have to be neo magnets persé but the equivalent ferrite magnet would leave less effective cabinet volume
