I do like this time of year, everybody seems to be building or updating there systems for the summer. Today i started on the new 12" horn....... ive made up a jig to cut most of the parts to make up the horn mould. Ill post up some pics in a mo.

This is a shot of the jig for cutting out circular parts to mould,

This is a shot of me checking the jig all lines up and works........
And finally the finished article...... well one of a few needed.

smart idea this jig. you have only a tiny nail hole. I use the router rail to do this type of work...it left a big bolt m6 hole.

I use an even simpler method. Router with 24mm collar, strip of wood with 25mm hole then just bang a nail through at whatever radius you require!

chris ive used your method many a times, but this build requires each round section to be 1.5mm bigger on each section. This method gives me better controll at fine adjustments.

I managed to get a few more bits cut today....... getting there......
You can see the horn starting to take shape. A little bit of sanding to do and a few more sections to cut.

i got some more work done over the weekend, just 5 panels left to cut.
this shot shows the horn mould taking shape, a lot of sanding still to do, and 5 sections still to cut.
i will try to get it done by next weekend, then off to the boat yard to pick up the fibreglass and resin.
