It's only because there are 2 of us in our sound building 4scoop stack each though. 1stack full scoops, big kick, mids, big pre amp etc. Other stack small, 4 minis, mini pre, smaller mids, ideally lighter amp rack but very hard to make the compromise there! smiley36 Just trying to be versatile smiley1

Don't understand the "smaller" stack route...

Why not just use "less" for smaller gigs?
Most 400 people gigs will be fine with 2x stacks of, 2x full scoops, 1x 2x18 kick bin, 2x mt121s.
Medium size gig could be 1x stack of 3x scoops, 1x 2x18 kickbin, 2x MT121s
Have been to many larger halls where 2x stacks of the above "medium setup" was size, and had full coverage.

I hear what your saying but storage is always an issue aswell as transporting the sound around. Love the idea of being able to bring 2scoop stack in a cruiser or worse comes to worse 1 scoop per hatchback! smiley36

IMHO, Get yourself a cheapish lwb/high top transit (and ramp). smiley2

90% of your gigs will be 2-4x full scoop set, which will fit in that.

Also doubles as pocket money generator for moving furniture, washing machines, other peoples sound systems. smiley36

EDIT:Depending where you live/auto security, you could keep cabs in the van.

nah rhinos are long gone dude

a lot has changed in the past year for us, and a lot is yet to change also...

looking to complete a 3 bins a side setup in the next few months so busy busy...

problem is old vans are so costly on the road now. transits rust like billy'o, and guzzle fuel. unless your going to be using it full time, its probably cheaper to just hire per event.
