Have a listen to the new Ohm CFU series amps in particular the CFU-A3 or the Road Ready MX5500--they are both the same amp--just re-badged--they will comfortably blow away a Crest CA18 driving PD2150 cabinets--if interested, I can sell you a brand new boxed MX5500 for£600

Just found following specs,

Amp 8ohm Stereo 4ohm Stereo 2ohm Stereo
CFU-A3 880w 1.5 kw 2.2kw
Crest CA18 1kw 1.8kw 2.5kw

Were you driving 1x or 2x cabs per channel?

Do you have Ohm CFU-A4?

Hmmm.... an MX 5500 will blow away a Crest CA18? I might be tempted to give one of those a try. Did I hear the Crest CA range are made in China anyway?

Just got hold of JBL MPX1200 for £200.

Got a bit of rack rash, and bent rack ears, but so far, the 8ohm stereo performance is superb.

Intend to get another one, so I can run 2x scoops per amp @ 4ohm bridged.

EVP3000 - get used for about £5-600. Were over £2k new. Britania row use 64 of these on their X-Line.

seperate powercables and transformersfor each channel, massive amounts of capacitors, abilty to play 2ohms a side all day long without breaking a sweat, pure quality deep rounded sound etc...

My proline 2700 was one of two pieces of rig,I should never have sold, the other was my 4x refurbed RX18s.

However the MPX1200 is second only to the EV P3000 (in terms of3K amps), so it was an upgrade.

Now, I just need to find 2x subs worthy of it.
