A bit against the mood

I've see a 1987 drawing by Paolo Viappiani, a tiny driver scoop with one fold more, just a duct but I wanted to remodel it for a 12". and Here's

external dimension is 37.6*94*70. I wanted to make 12" scoop to drop closer to 40hz (emi can't) I know for it's dimension it's pontless, you can use a bigger driver with a classic scoop layout, and the same driver work good in some tapped horn but......I don't care smiley2

I make stupid errore as usual, the width is 48.6 like the eminence 12", so the sim are correct but not the drawing now is correct

Go for it mate , be nice to see a twelve scoop that does what it should!

Be it will sound good with some of the monster 12 drivers availible nowadays!
Would be good just for the scoop look but if if they work decent aswell bonus!

i bet it will be a very musical box, with a very fast attack....... as all ways m8t keep up the good work......

I didn't sim many driver just a half dozen, but this cab seems to like particular driver. 18sound 12nlw930 also seems to work good.

how did the b&c 12ndl76 sim....... this driver loves a horn on it....... and a nice small chamber......

simmed nw100 ps100 ndl76 all start to be peaky under 50hz,
mb12g301 and the 18sound, both have a low le, under 1mh and low bl I guess should be the key.

some mod to make it works with more "muscular driver". Reduced throat to 2,7 cm and a proper expansion in the first horn part.

By the way I'm not really sure that a tight throat like this can have a good sound.

P.s. in the first version can work 18sound 12mb700 and some faital pro like 12fh500, pretty bored to sim other drivers

We already have good 18" designs, Nitz.

And for 1x room house party, 1x 2x18" reflex or 1x 18" mini scoop rules.
