12" X-Tro? was created by Tengu Collective
Hi

I currently run the following system: 4 X1 Subs (pd1850, 35-80hz), 4 ES18-BPH Kicks (pd186, 80-200hz), 2 2x12" Mids (kappa pro, 200-2800hz) and 2 Eminence Tweeter Tops (2.8-20khz).

So now i'm thinking about builiding a box like a x-tro or a mt122 instead of using 2 seperate cabinets for the 2x12" and the top. btw. i would like to get my 12" i a horn-construction.

i'm wondering if i can use 2x 12" drivers in a x-tro instead of 2x 15" drivers?
has anyone did this before? or would the mt122 be the better choice?

thx 4 the help fellaz!!
best regards
max

Keep your subs & kicks, and get two more of your eminence tweeters and make 4 MT122's. img218.imageshack.us/img218/8403/tdamt121gk5.jpg

Assuming that you are happy running the ES18 to 250 hz then I would build a pair of MT212's. Junk the Emi Comps and use the Faital HF144 on their 1.4 Tractrix horn LTH142.

Get it all working coherently together* and then buy me a pint of Sarah Hughes Ruby Mild because you are so happy.

I would imagine that you only need 1 ES18 to keep up with 2 off X1's ??
