12"spk + 1" driver was created by t.geessounds
hey guys i know i should have ask before i start to build but was so exsited to start to build am building a little system for a friend that consis of 2 15"cubo with top (12"+1" driver) but want to know how long i should cut the port ill be using two 3" (77mm) pvc pipe would like it to tune as low as posible with about 450watts with out excedin the xmax ...the speaker am goin to use is the 12 dayton audio

50HZ tuning 4.5" inches long per tube

Much better to glue the ports in before you put the baffle in place, that way you can run a round-over bit on the outside to get a good finish and help prevent chuffing.
I use PU glue for mine, just make the holes a snug fit for the pipe, glue in position with the pipe level with the outside surface and round-over. Proper job.

I know its been a couple months since your last log in, but if you make it back I'm wondering what 1" and horn you used. I'm looking at making a simple box like this. How much space would need to be added to make it a dual 12" cab? Would there be any disadvantages of using dual 12"s? I would like to bi amp and run the dual 12s as 4ohm.

Nice, thanks for the reply! Actually Id like to see the 10" plan, I'm keeping my options open and looking around and trying to decide what's going to be the best setup for my purposes.
