Do the wires need to be a certain thickness or all that power?

Wires for what? The speakers?... if so yes make them all 2.5mm2 cores and as long as its not more then 20m on bass you'll be fine.

Do remember that your cabs your making all need speakon connection and build in a little future proofing but putting two sockets on every cab in case you want/need to daisy chain them. If you make the wiring on all the cabs the same your speaker cables will then all stay identical.... makes for a simple system

As in pluging one speaker into an amp then the second speaker into the 1st. Thus making your amp see a 4ohm load

Oh right, yeah that's a good idea, and if it has a 4 ohm load does that affect the power you can put into it?

Do you mean the speaker cab it self is 4ohm?
An amp wil play quite happily into a 4 or 8 ohm load, just dont ever go any lower. If your subs are 4 ohms each put them on seperate channelsmof the amp as if you daisy chain 2 4 ohm speakers your amp will see 2ohm and it will be very very angry with you and prolly kill itself. Some amps can handle it but its best to just stear clear.
