I have used the RCF LF18G401, those speakers works best with the cbe or cbx. The cbx versions is alot bigger thats the reason I choosed for the cbe. This drivers are 245,00 euro each new. I don't think you can build this plan for less than this. The wood cost me 30,00 euro for one speaker, so the project cost me not so much. Sorry for my bad englisch!!

I don't know them but for less than about 250,00 euro you miss alot of quality in this range of speakers. I've tested this design only (sure after search) with the RCF's, so I can only rate them with this driver.

The 18sound's are also fine, the problem is if you can buy them in your country. For me 18 sound is hard to get! Nice build t.geessounds! Which speakers are above them? Also made by yourself?

Sweet, yeah I need to build them after Christmas, my biggest problem is wiring the amp to the speakers, I don't get how you can plug 9speakers into one 2 chan amp

would I need a crossover?

It's possible to power 9 speakers with one amp but you need a very expensive amp and you can't power a sub with a top on the same channel of your crossover. You absolute need a crossover, or an intern filter but I dont prefer that. Why one 2 ch amp?
