These rear firing cabs, the ES18-BPH and F1 218 and USB etc.
We all know they are weak below 50hz, can the design be improved upon to provide a -3db 40hz situation, or is it a by product of the cab?

I'm thinking modified, purple paint, then that Hornmaster bloke in Russia can ship some silver mid top horns
Cabs need to do 40hz singles in todays world though

will be trying a 218 per side at xmas for a live gig. - it will have to support a 5 string bass guitar, so we'll see how that goes.....

200 miles says no Mikey, love to though.
Unfortunatly F1 is waht the silly kiddies know, wrong in all respects when it comes to that f218. Aggressive marketing needed I suppose.
Been playing with an RCF loaded T18 smiley3 . Bit of eq and a pair is no worse in any way than a 218, infact much warmer.
What driver is in the new cab Mikey?

Hi all just resently built 4 USB with fane 18b drivers
If you stand them up right the drop to 48 hz which I was very happy with.
If you lay them flat they drop to 42 hz but was driving them very hard of a crest 10004.
What was very intresting tho was my Ukraine guru
Lex put, piece of 2" batten underneath back of the cabs Wich angled the cabs towards the floor
And got very close to 40hz but not very practical
We measured this using a freq scope with mic pic up some ex soviet
Piece of kit
Could not really say how accurate it was
They told me it came out a submarine. :!:
