Plans for a compact 3 way fullrange speaker.

Hello.
I have a friend, who has an old horn based speaker system.
He would like something a little more compact.
So I was thinking if there was a 3 way fullrange speaker with a 18" speaker. And maybe a 12" midrange and some kind of horn at the top.
First thought was some kind of horn or bandpass at the 18". And some horn to the rest.
There is option to make it 3 way active.

Anyone who has a god plan??

I had a little hope, to find a box with horn/bandbass at the bass and som horn for the midrange.

have you looked into the xtro....... very nice sounding 3 way horn cab.......
