B&C 18SW115 in HOGs - need some help

Hey guys,

Firts post on here, great forum btw !

I don't have the sufficient knowledge to model an 18SW115 in HOGs, there's very small amount of info on these, and I wouldn't want my HOGs not to sound the best they could... would have gone for some 18TBX100 at first, and that's what we'll do if we have no info on the SW115.

Could someone do this around here ?

I've got them, but I only know what they perform like in my own cabs, so I can't comment on another cab with these in.

i bought one today, but i would need 1 week to be able to test it in my hogs.

i think that with the same amp power it wont be better than the 18tbx100, or worth replacing 4 x tbx with 4 x these. but i would try to compare the tbx with 1000w amp power and this one with 1700w.

also, i'd like to know if they are tested in small chamber scoops like rx18, and comparison with good sounding drivers like 18tbx100 and spl tanks like pd1850/pd1851

that's so interesting. keep us updated please. May be before a real test should be nice some stress period for the new driver...

staip on speakerplans did the sim, on plan and sound wise:

B&C 18SW115
Simulation shows that it will work (almost same to PD1850)
..huge xmax and power ..cant be bad
(but only real world test will show us what is going on there)

+ will fit in cabinet
