@ Tony.A.S.S.: If you haven't tried the 12ND710 by 18Sound yet, I think you should. It's got the sensitivity of a 12PE32 but weighs nothing!

@ Tony Foster: Your decision may come down to which manufacturer you can get drivers at good prices from... As you can see from the plots, amongst the dedicated midrange drivers mentioned, performance will be fairly similar.

im liking it tooo, for me its the 18 sound or the b&c both look very nice.

I can add some to my order but I need to know now! As in I've already emailed it!

If you wanted to stick to the same brand then this combo looks like it could do some propa damage to your dance floors

XT1464 horn is much much cheaper (and larger) and 18Sound do a much larger range of 1.4" compression drivers....

what horn and hf driver would you go for chriss.... could you pm me a price for the 18sound driver.... The nd1460a looks like a good hf on that horn!!!!!!!

XT1464 is by far the best value for money horn. It's large format means that it has excellent dispersion control and it's properly usable down to about 800Hz if the compression driver is capable.

Compression driver is harder. I actually use the PD C14 but they're sadly discontinued. I also use the 18Sound ND1424 but that's only a 2.5" VC so not the choice if you want ultimate performance. The ND1460 works out about £240 and the ND1480 £300, they're the main options from 18Sound although I haven't tried them myself. Other than that you've got the usual options from Beyma etc. B&C seem to concentrate more on 2" drivers but they do a few 1.4" ones now. eg DE800 or DE820 but I haven't seen prices on those.
