How-to: Submit a Plan:

Last tutorial of the serie, a bit lenghty but it should cover all aspects.Here goes:

In the user menu click on "Submit a Plan"
<!-- ia13 -->1.jpg<!-- ia13 -->[/attachment:3k3fy0bp]

Click on "New"
<!-- ia12 -->2.jpg<!-- ia12 -->[/attachment:3k3fy0bp]

Type in the Plan's name, select Plans and the right type of box.
Now it is down to the article itself.

Here are a few guidelines:

-the poster has to consider copyrights issues and try to contact/notify the creator
-all plans posts will have to me made on the mainsite as articles and contain:

--full credit/contact/website of the "creator"
--an image of the plan (obviously)
--the usuable frequency
--the type of enclosure (bp a horn a reflex etc...)
--the recommended driver(s) (with a link to the pdf of the driver from the resource section if available)
--a link to a new thread in this subforum discussing the design (explained later in the tutorial)
--use relevant META keywords (HORN, SUB, 18" etc) to ease search
Optional:
--size
--weight
--construction pics
--finished pics
--hornresp data (and link to hornrespdb.com/ if the box is available)
--plots
--cad files

You can copy and paste this as a template:

Frequency:

Enclosure Type:

Size:

Recommended Drivers:

Plan:

To upload the plan's picture click on "Insert/Edit Image" icon (top left corner of the green spot on this picture):
<!-- ia11 -->3.jpg<!-- ia11 -->[/attachment:3k3fy0bp]
Then select the "Upload" Tab, click on choose and select the file (from your computer) and click on "Send it to server".
<!-- ia10 -->4.jpg<!-- ia10 -->[/attachment:3k3fy0bp]
once uploaded you will be back on the "image propertie" Window from there selct a width of 400 and click ok
<!-- ia9 -->5.jpg<!-- ia9 -->[/attachment:3k3fy0bp]
To avoid spamming, we advise you to use the build-in email function:
Write down the full email address, select it (highlight it) and click on "Insert/Edit Link"
<!-- ia8 -->6.jpg<!-- ia8 -->[/attachment:3k3fy0bp]
On the new Window, select "E-Mail" in link type, input the email address (you can also add a default subject) click on Ok.
<!-- ia7 -->7.jpg<!-- ia7 -->[/attachment:3k3fy0bp]
Time to take a break from the article editing and start thread on the forum, open a new window and go to the "Hosted Plans" Subforum, click on "New topic".

You can write the standard: Use this thread to discuss the ...... Design posted here
Click on Submit
<!-- ia6 -->9.jpg<!-- ia6 -->[/attachment:3k3fy0bp]
Open your new topic and write down the 3 numbers at the end of the address:
<!-- ia5 -->10.jpg<!-- ia5 -->[/attachment:3k3fy0bp]
Don't close this window we'll use it later.

Go back to your article window, scroll down to the bottom and type {jfusion_discuss XXX} (XXX is the number you found earlier), this will create a link to the new topic you created.
Take some time to fill the Meta description and Meta Keywords.
Click on Save and Publish.
<!-- ia1 -->11.jpg<!-- ia1 -->[/attachment:3k3fy0bp]

Your article is now online, open it and copy its web address.
go back to your new forum topic window and edit your topic so it points to your article, by pasting the address:
<!-- ia4 -->12.jpg<!-- ia4 -->[/attachment:3k3fy0bp]

Now the final part, attaching files to your plan:
At the bottom of your article's page you will see "Add an attachment", click on it.
<!-- ia3 -->13.jpg<!-- ia3 -->[/attachment:3k3fy0bp]
Click on choose, select the file from your computer, type "Full size Plan" in Description and click on "Upload"
<!-- ia0 -->14b.jpg<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:3k3fy0bp]

You will get a blank page :think: , it is a bug from the attachment plugin, but don't worry your file is uploaded, if you browse back to your article you will see the attachment.
<!-- ia2 -->15.jpg<!-- ia2 -->[/attachment:3k3fy0bp]

Well done you published your first plan on FSP ! Thank you for sharing smiley20
