How do Klipsch folded horns(La Scala, Klipschorn) work when they quote crossover frequencies of 450Hz and bass extension to 35Hz? Can you only cover that frequency range with hi-fi and not PA?

The only reason higher frequencies don't work in large folded horn cabs is that, because of the size and dimensions of the horns, the higher frequencies break up due the the laws of defraction. When you have a folded horn, albeit with small channels that make up the horn, frequencies can go much higher before breakup.

Might want to ask djk over there on SP about the Klipsch horns.

I'm pretty sure they don't offer that low extension, I'd never see the day when a klipschorn ever got near to 35hz.) You have to ask yourself, is that at +/-what dB?

Klipsch website quotes 33Hz-17kHz± 4dB for the Klipschorn, although this could be an in room response with the speakers in the corner.
