Hey guys, this is my first time posting.
i have been looking at trying out a horn but have no idea how to design one.
I want to try a horn in a vehicle. I have built a lot of different enclosures for vehicles and have YEARS of experience competing in audio sound offs.
Now with my questions...
Are there names for horn enclosures with certain frequency ranges? I seen plans for bass enclosures and for sub bass enclosures... whats the difference?
Are there any sites or programs to help plot? I seen hornresp but couldn't figure out how it works. All of the enclosure i build are single bass reflex and thats easy to grasp. . Enclosure volume - vent surface area - vent length. . . Plus there are tons of sites and programs to assist tuning
I already know what frequency i need this enclosure to peak at, between 50/55 hz. I am going for strictly SPL and the vehicle peaks around 55hz. I currently have a wall in the vehicle with a pair of atomic loudspeaker 15" woofers in a 11 cubic foot box and 220 square inch slot port 6" in length, powered by two 11,000 watt Brazilian amps currently measures 155DB.
