Hi all! I've been silently browsing the site for a little while now but still unsure of a couple of things so thought I'd do a post! I'm looking to upgrade my current (small) system and would appreciate some wisdom/experience as I'm pretty new to all this.
I currently have:
2 x 12" JBL reflex boxes (driver info >
magnitola.by/manuals/JBL%20P-1220%20boxes.pdf
)
2 x 12" Peavey tops (old but sound nice!)
1 x T.Amp 2400 mk X
1 x Pulse SPA900 (been very impressed by this cheapy!)
1 x Peavey 23xo
1 x Behringer MDX2600 compressor/limiter
The newest and strongest addition is the T.Amp 2400, I'd like to upgrade my current bins, and am interested in the Cubo box's. I play mostly dubstep/heavy bass music on my system so I'm torn between the Cubo Sub and the Cubo 18ex. Money and space is not in abundance so ideally I think 2 x 4ohm bins would be better to maximize the potential from the amplifier, but that narrows down my choice of drivers, and also, will I notice the 5Hz difference? Is it just a figure I may be getting too hung up on as transporting 2 Cubo Sub's I feel would be more problematic then the compact 18ex's... Any advice would be much appreciated!
