Hiya, i know this might sound a bit of a daft question but i was wondering if the screws you use when putting a box together is of great importance, i mean obviously am gonna use wood screws but is there a certain measurement that is the best to use? I would be grateful for any information you could share with me, thanks. Jack

Personally, I like Drywall screws. They pull in well without stripping the wood, which I have found some wood screws do. I like the sharp coarse threads. Make sure you drill pilots on whatever you use though. Counter sink holes too.

No 8's will be fine and if you are going through 18mm material, I would use 35 or 40mm in length. For the sake of leverage, you should always have the screws around twice the length of the material you are going through.
