kick frequency directionality..... was created by Reality Sound
Curious about (point source) cabinets with high, mid & kick in a trap cab (for instance eaw 850) VS a MT121 cab over an ES18 or similar.
When is it necessary (pros/cons)to array kick frequencies VS not etc.

For for instance the funktion 1 stack. Something like that VS if it was a boatload of 186 horns and MT121s.....or this 9bar pic where the kicks aren't arrayed.....

comb filtering only really effect the higher band, as lower frequencies are one directional... ive never arrayed kicks for this reason, I cant remember the frequency but im sure its about 500htz and above were comb filtering becomes an issue.... the f1 boxes array the kicks only because its a 3 way box and the horn needs to be arrayed....

Do the 3 way arrayed boxes kick frequencies come out of time alignment after much a wide array? (like 5 across in the pic)
and then why do any name brand companies bother putting anything 'under the midrange frequencies' in a trap shape cab...?
Just trying to understand advantages/ disadvantages theory etc.......

advantage is an all in one box, that can be used in a lot of ways, from ground stack to flying etc... weight wise is a negative, but for installs etc it wont be an issue. there is no advantage in sound quality to have the kick arrayed....
