the rane note was informative, a little over the head in places but i think i get the gist of it and given the great job an LR-4 appears to do (when everything is time aligned), i think i'll leave my eq flat, at least until i understand the advantages/disadvantages fully.
@adam: wouldn't simply turning the bass bins down help compensate for this "higher" crossover frequency when bass to mid ratio is high?

(in seriousness, 1. We play bass heavy dance music, we want a big hump in the bass response, I can tune the lms / crossover around the issue 2. I like bass).Edited by: Adambomb

i'll hazard another guess but is this issue to do with having multiple bass bins coupled together, thus increasing/decreasing the cut off points?
