I made mine from ply, it has small sides for strength and a hinged piece at the top to adjust for height and a smooth transition. It fixes internally in the van and locks into position for transit.

I find the problem with those thin ramps is while the static load rating looks ok, big heavy flightcases being wheeled up them is very much a dynamic load and they do flex quite a lot.
