hello all,
i've got some 10+1 mid tops with 100x60 dispersion and rotatable horns. are there any major drawbacks to changing the dispersion to 60x100 in order to array 2/3 cabs properly on top of a stack?

thanks

a reggae soundsystem style stack that is...with punters at close range. not festival stage or anything like that.

That dispersion is very wide, I assume they are reasonably short, which means you won't have much control anyway. If they are short, and for the application you describe, I don't think it will matter either way.

yes they are short horns. cabinets are turbo tq310 if anyone is interested.

so if i can't gain any control from arraying them, is it worth doing to reduce combing at source?

thanks for the reply.

Make then 60 wide. If you measure the depth of the inside of the horn and then convert it, you will find out, down to what frequency the horn will really controlled.
