Is the rule of thumb, '7 x64 is Vista x64 with added bells, whistles and performance, so vista x64 drivers should work on '7 x64.

Don't all shout at once...

Filthy habit, but will answer my own question..

At least for DELL laptops, Vista x64 drivers are fine with '7' x64. smiley20

SOME printers won't install as the mfr writes in a stop wrong OS message.
Otherwise they work, nearly all the time.

Also weird is, '7' x64, does'nt list the scanner on my HP 7280 (flash all in one printer with wifi/lan/bluetooth) in the devices, so I can't use windows Image capture to directly scan 'stuff..

Gotta use HP Software to do it. :?
