Starting from virtually no knowledge.

I am looking to build a sound system, I dont have a set budget at the moment but i would like to try and keep the cost to a minimum. The speakers will be used mainly for drum and bass/jungle and only need to be big enough for around 100-150 people. I have absolutely no idea what different speakers are called however i have access to a wood workshop and dont want to waste the opportunity. It would be much appreciated if someone could guide in the right direction explaining what speakers i will need to build, how many of them i will need and what kind of price is it gonna be. Cheers.

Hello! Similar situation here. I have the building skills and basic speaker knowledge. 

so what size type of rig are you guys looking at. a budget would help, that way we could recommend a route around your budget.

Total newbie here but willing to learn. Want to build a drum & bass/jungle/140 rig of a similar size (100-300 heads).
Would just be looking for suggestions as to which specific cabinets to build.
