If you are looking at a plan and about to start construction, I would suggest figuring out your cut list on sheets of ply first to waste as little wood as possible and get to cutting. Make sure you understand how each joint will function and how you will deal with handles and terminals. Use good wood.
Circular cuts using a router should be cur prior to installation. Circular cuts using a jig saw are frequently easier after panel is installed depending on location and clearances. Try to avoid locating cuts and braces where they interfere with each other.
