X-tro 1x15" and passive? was created by Lofobia
Planning to build two new tops this spring.
And the x-tro caught my interest, BUT i don't have the possibility to process them.
CAN i run them with passive 3-way crossover with one amp?
Will it sound ok?
And my plan is to shorten the box and only use 1x15" is that a bad idea?
I will use the tops with my jbl 2x18" reflex boxes.
Any other suggestions for good tops with one 12"-15" horns is welcome

You can run it with a passive crossover (although a pair of high wattage passive three way crossovers is not going to be inexpensive) but the delay differences for the various horn lengths will not be at all ideal.
