New guy looking for advice

Hi, I'm new to the site and I've never built speakers before. Can someone recommend a set of plans and components for me. I would like to build a set a speakers for my garage. I'm looking for big sound at a low volume, durable housing, and I don't want to spend my life savings on them. Any advice would be great.

You may be better off getting a pair of second hand Hi Fi cabs for your garage. A Hi Fi speaker will be better for bass at low volume than a PA speaker. If you want to build something, There are plenty of kit projects for Hi Fi cabs. Dynamics are different with power speakers, and usually want a bit of power for them to give you a balanced sound.
