Studiomonitors was created by Lofobia
As i´m in to music production and are finally moving out from my home studio to build me a "real" studio i want new (bigger) monitors.
So my question is if anyone got plans in 10"-12" studio monitors?
Off cause i want tips on speakers for those plans also
I love the JBL 4310, 4312 style but can´t afford a pair..
The monitors i got right now is a pair of m-audio BX8a i like them but would like some more bass.
So a better solution could be building a sub, but what kind ov sup should i build?
I guess passive is to prefer..
EDIT: Posted i wrong forum..

Build a reflex box for a 12 inch sub. The Bx8s are alright (I have a pair) but I also wanted more sub. My sub is nothing special. Just a vented 12. I would not personally want my studio monitors to be too bassy. I like them to be pretty flat response, and then adjust the sub to allow me to hear the bass, but not really loud bass. If you set up your studio too bassy, you songs will be mixed down sounding not bassy enough. Keep it clean and clear for an honest listening reference. My 2 cents.

plus one, you need your studio monitors to play dead flat..... Most studios will use speakers with a flat response for mastering, and a second system for reviewing the track.......

thanks for the input
I think i´ll stick to my BX8a, and build a pair of 2x10" to have something else to listen to also
