TINY SYSTEM FOR HOUSE PARTIES - 15 INCH SUBS HELP was created by BlacDragan
Hello to All,
this is my first post and i'm just looking for some help in designing a BASIC bas system for the a small PA rig to play house parties and a small halls.
The TS parameters of my bass speakers are as follows, i have 4 of them:
mpedance (Z) 8Ω
Resonant frequency (fs) 41Hz
Max. frequency range f3-2,500Hz
Music power 350WMAX
Power rating (P) 200WRMS
SPL (1W/1m) 98dB
Suspension compl. (Cms) 0.14mm/N
Moving mass (Mms) 102g
Mech. Q factor (Qms) 13.62
Electr. Q factor (Qes) 0.58
Total Q factor (Qts) 0.56
Equivalent volume (Vas) 147 l
DC resistance (Re) 6.0Ω
Force factor (BxL) 16.64Tm
Voice coil induct. (Le) 1.5mH
Voice coil diameter 75mm
Voice coil former aluminium
Linear excursion (XMAX) ±4mm
Eff. cone area (Sd) 855cm2
Magnet weight 1.4kg
Weight 5.8kg
Can anyone please advise on a fairly straightforward box design. I'm ok with wood work but i'm no master carpenter so i'd like a fairly simple design that would allow the drivers to play down to 42Hz or so and reach highish levels of output. the bass amp i'll be using to start with is only 500 watts rms per channel into 4 ohms. Music to be played will be rap, dance, house.....so bass driven tracks.
Many thanks for your help

can anyone confirm either way if these subs would work in the cubo 15 or if there are any other types of enclosure that may work better or be more appropriate.
thanks again for your help guys

ok cool
A couple of things, where are the plans for the cubo15 extended? I've had a look but can't seem to find them!! Second, would it work to have a slot ported enclosure paired to a horn loaded box?
MANY thanks for your help...
