So, is it a FACT that the Mk 3 does a better job than a Mk2 (186/XB)? I don't have control issues with Mk2 and 186...
Also, any truth in the reversing polarity thing?

ok
with mk3, you will be able to push it harder as damping provided by chamber is better.
will also be a touch louder.
but the PD186 is a great driver for going LOW so the larger of the two chambers might improve that
