anyone ever seen or heard these...believe they originateed 1977-78

yes and yes... I built some doubles last year, not the same as these, but not too far different. instead of side by side, mine were mouth to mouth. The folding differs a bit.

funny how they built the chamber seprate from the box then installed into box itself :S

They done this so each chamber was sealed and separate to the other.
