JBL 4560 as midbass - small room was created by saul
im inna fix at the moment, and with a gig coming up, i need some feedback from those who have tried it, as i wont have any new boxes built in time, and can't afford to buy any.
we are planning to use a pair of JBL 4560 that we have kicking around, loaded with what i can only identify as eminence kappa pro LF 15". we haven't used them in years.
how are these going to fair from 75hz to 180hz? - i hear the horn drops off at around 150hz, so the reflex section might need some boosting?
will only have 2x boxes covering 3 scoops, and it's in a small room. im thinking about the linking in with the rest of the boxes, and how it will sound
the midtop will be a single mx600 with an extra horn on top. , with the JBLs sitting either side, due to ceiling height.- talk about a directional system smiley36 . luckily it's a long thin room, with a low ceiling. i think this setup will be fine in there.

Have heard 4560s played as both sub or low mid/kick and it was smiley11 .
Surely your 2x15s would be better, or borrow some kicks from Goliath ?
