IF the weather changes (ever) I'm going to try a 186 in these. I think I'll do Mk2, or maybe Mk3 with single front baffle...
I built the orignal Mk1, well documented after a small mod. They are still around loaded with TurboMax, based on my experience with the Mk1 with V1200/PD1850 and TM I recon the 186 will be fine in Mk2, so long as your sensible. I'll add some front baffle to rear baffle braces, 50mm x 50mm to eat a little chamber size.
Drivers in the States? Somebody has to chuck an old Emmi Kilomax in one to see?
Mk 1 below was modified with extra rear baffle extended by 70mm (not shown)

@Staip, could you please technically detail "the true" benefits of the acoustic wool suggested, and the reasoning for suggested placement.

My Rhino Mk2 sounds great without it, but I spoke to someone yesterday, and he mentioned "an expert" directed him to place the wool at specific locations in the chamber.

Regarding acoustic wadding, I recently tested with and without. I didn't listen to actual music as I was measuring at 5hz intervals and recording the results. Both responses were identical.
The only cab I would definately put wadding in is a mid range cab. This would be to kill the smaller waves that break up in side the cab and come back on the cone to produce peaks and dips in the response.

Peace and goodwill to all speaker builders

The only reason I put wadding in my bass reflex boxes is to lower Fb apart from that it has bugger all use. I also stick it in mid-tops where it may be useful in reducing the standing waves etc.

Really for normal use there is no need for wadding in chamber.

Here it was intended to Hi-Fi-lise their sound a bit if someone use them with higher than ideal crossover point - kill buildup of potential 1/4wl resonances (honking) caused by dimensions of chamber which can sound ugly through horn.

However in normal/proper PA use there is crossover set far below freq. range where those resonances may occur (there may be only some harmonics up but they will make sound a bit "dirtier" which in PA world may be perceived as "natural" and additional SPL )

I have not build or tested them so wadding is "placed" here just to make em a little bit more foolproof at start smiley23

Best wishes
