Am new in this forum, but i have been looking already a lot
of time trough the plans and discussions here - its really cool
I have in mind to construct a MTH-4654, because I think its one of
the best solutions for me (bigger indoor and medium outdoor - up to 25o people).
It shows a good sensitivity and high SPL.
--> Would that be correct so far?!
But the thing is, that I would like to use the PD. 186 Speaker but I couldn'd
find anything here (search function).
Is this possible, would this speaker perform well in this bin?
Any expiriences or suggestions?
It thought it should work because it is an often used speaker in
other horn bins.
THX and greez

So do u know maybe which drivers would perform well...??!
or was this ironic??
The thing is this, that the RCF needs so much amp power (12oo W RMS)...

That looks nice
Did u test this on you own or where did you get this graph from?!
Any other driver recommendations - or which criteria i have to look after
when choosing a driver...?
best regards

Thx very much for ur advices!!!
What would u say about the following driver from rcf:
www.rcf.it/en_US/products/precis ... rs/l18s801
The criteria fit, and it has a very high sensitvity (99,5)... what would u say??!

Thank you very much for ur help!!!
But due to your graph, a few more questions came up in my mind...
The last speaker from rcf has more max SPL. (99,5), but in comparison
with the PD 188 or one of the others, the calculation doesnt show a notable
improvement... WHY?! - and how is this related to the max RMS power of a speaker...?
And secondly,
would u prefer the mth 46 lc due to the higer SPL -
or would you take the MTH 4654 due to the lower F3 - so that it would sound "warmer" than the LC?!
--> Construction Idea: 2 Bass Bins and 1 midhigh top each side.
Thank you again and greez

the rcf only has more the sentivity than pd188 about 1.5 db. when the sim show, is it not correct? the grapgh respond close to close. this the spl graph i simed @ 200 rms it begin to reach the limit xmax coil. and the secondly the mth 46lc n mth 4654 the graph show. all the thing depend on u like. someone like the spl but another may be like the low freq.
