Hi All,
After a brief discussion we would like to release a plan for a full range reflex box, a simple design that will give great results.
To do this we need to pick the most suitable drivers, box size, port tuning etc.. so if you would like to be involved please post on this thread...
Tostart, as the name suggests, I feel we should be aiming for a 15" + 8" (or 6") + 1" combo...
Your thoughts please people, driver recommendations? I'm thinking B&C or 18 Sound...

A closed back midrange driver would make sense for the 8 wouldnt it, and would cut down on overall box volume.
I think if its gonna be stand alone, the 3 way crossover is going to be the biggest problem.

I agree on a closed back 8" driver, makes the build simple.. does anyone know of any? I'll check out the B&C site..
Crossover design could be tricky... but I'm sure we have some members that will be able to help!

Not much to choose between the 8PE21 and 8M400 although the 18Sound does look just that little bit nicer.
You could do the whole thing with B&C or 18Sound without much difference in quality.
I would consider:
B&C 15NW76
18Sound 8M400
B&C DE250 (although there is soooo much choice for good 1" CD's)
18Sound XT1086 or XT120 horn

I would suggest we stick to one brand for the whole cab?

Great stuff Chris... is there a (cheaper?) alternative to the neo 15" driver... would be nice to offer options.
I'm guessing theB&C 15PS76 would be the equivelent?

so... so far we have
B&C 15NW76 OR B&C 15PS76
B&C 8PE21 or 18 Sound 8M400
B&C DE250 (nice driver!)
I had a brief look at the 18Sound and B&C horns... the 18Sound ones do look nice... but keeping with the "one manufacturer" thing... could any of the B&C ones work?
