Tony, was any of the older stuff made from Seven lam ply?
Trying to work out if some BS500's are original or not?
They are single braced and seem a little bigger than your catalogue.
Access panel and bit over driver hole is as is should be though...
Thanks
Nick

some of the bs1200's were cut in half by users to form a bs500
this could explain some irregularities

I really didn't think it could be HBL.
The quality of build is very, "4560" era. Damn solid, but not "Tony".
Having said that I quite like them and I have some 600w RCF's sitting here.
As a two stack system I think they might find themselves on top of some Hogs/Rhinos.
Paid less than the wood anyhow, plus a load of other stuff for cheap.

Not my cabs. All cabs from no.1 had grill frames built in. The early ones were made for Tygan cloth grills and had 45 degree corners. The later ones had frames to take steel grills. 18 mm 7 lam ply has never been used on any ASS product. It looks like Luan Far Eastern ply which is softer than Birch ply.
These cabs were probably copies of the original cabs which were 24" wide. The later ones became 22.5" wide to make them exactly half of a BS1200.
