ASS system for use in a 2000 person tent

So just to get the brain ticking along, and possibly to be used next year,i was thinking of what kind of system i should use for a big marquee dance event to cater for 2000 ppl.

I was thinking along the lines of 2 mx600's, 2 bs1200's and 2 sb121h's per side.

I will use near fills and delay fills consisting of a diy reflex cab consisting of 2 x 1", 2 x 8" and 2 x 15" all in one cab... so four fill cabs used in total

I think that will sound nice, has anyone tried anything similar or spot anything wrong with my method?

For 2000 people, I would use 4 times that. What you have will produce a nice sound but it won't kill 'em at the back. Putting fills in down the track isn't the same. It will lack intensity.

i was just doubtfull the noise police would let things get played that loud so thought it pointless to take more kit.

I don't think you need 4 times that. The system you suggest would fill the tent with music but maybe not at the level some of the punters will want.

I would say maybe double the bass and add one extra mid-top per side. It also depends on the shape of the tent too...

Back in the day I used to use 4 MT1200's plus 8 BS1200's and 21" horns plus infills for the near and centre field in the Cambridge Corn Exchange. That was for 1000 peeps. Thats what I based my suggestion on.
