Deck Isolators.

Thanks mate, it's been a lot of silly nonsence over not much at all. Hoeever, every cloud etc. lets hope we form a good community here and hats off to the guys who did it.

anyone wishing to go halfs on a pair of these deck isolators with me ? im never going to need 2 as its strictly reggae for me one deck style , and dont want to make odd numbers for tony , so any reggae heads in the same boat as me get in touch and we can arrange something to get 1 isolator each ,

Tony, what sort of lifespan do the isolators have. I was thinking that over time the top layer of foam would compress due to the feet of the turntable, thus reducing their effectiveness.
Would it be worth putting another layer of wood on top to spread the weight of the turntable across the whole surface, or is that defeating the object.

Super, I never tried another layer on top of the foam It could be a good ideas. I'll give it a go and see what happens. Regarding longevity, No one has ever come back to me with any sort of problem. I have had some in clubs for at least 5 years and they are still as effective as they were when originally installed. If the foam rotted over time, there would be a problem, but these foams are stable, so I don't expect a problem.
