Crest CA9/CA12 was created by bass4dummies
Greetings, this is my first post...as my username suggests, hopeless when it comes to the technical side of things...all I know is that I love my bass!! The fatter, rounder, deeper the better. I was wondering if anyone has an opinion on the Crest CA9 or CA12 when it comes to powering a couple of HOG scoops (plan to load the HOGs with Void v18-1000). The goal is to eventually have 4 scoops but budget and sense will only allow for two at the moment. Anyone?

Practically nothing better.
V1000 great driver choice also, bad availability of re-cones periodically though. Rumour has it that the current UK distributor may change, hopefully that will make things good permanently. (Only a rumour though)
CA12's are usually very rare used.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. I wonder, would 1 x CA12 be enough to push 4 HOG's loaded with the Voids?

No. 2 x CA9 running 4r bridges (two hogs per amp) will do.
