Eminence Kappa Specifications was created by stevep409
I'm just finishing up a pair of Cubo 15's (I'll post construction pics after I coat the cabinets.) I'm getting ready to order drivers for the boxes but need some clarification. Is an Eminence Kappa Pro 15LFA and the Kappa Pro 15 LF-2 the correct drivers for this box? Not sure what if the additional letter or number in the driver model meant and want to make sure these drivers will work. Thanks in advance and enjoy this site.

The Kappa 15LFA is not the pro series of kappa drivers. The Kappa Pro 15LF-2 is the pro series of drivers. The main difference is the basket material. The KP 15LF-2 is a cast basket where as the K15LFA is a stamped basket. There are some differences in the drivers. Both drivers work in the Cubo 15.

Also if weight is an issue, try looking into the KappaLyte 3015LF it only weights 8.6 LBS. The KP15LF-2 is 22.3 LBS. Both are 3"VCs.

The cheapest place I could find with free shipping has the the KP15LF-2 on backorder. They don't have the KappaLyte 3015LF in stock but they do have the Kappa Pro 15A in stock. Would ths 15A work in the Cubo or should I get a refund and get the KappaLyte 3015LF or KP15LF-2?

The Kappalite 3015 LF is a favourite driver for a tapped horn.
The 3015 LF has a larger Xmax 9.6mm. Xmech 17mm
The Kappa pro LF2 Xmax is 6.7mm Xmech is 18mm
I found a hornresp sim for the Cubo and run both drivers
The 3015lf is more efficient
3015lf in black
Pro LF2 in grey -Both at 1w 2Pi

Steve: the Kappa Pro 15A is a mib bass/ mid range driver, not a low freq. driver. You must use any of the Kappa 15 with the LF in the model number(3015LF, Kappa 15LFA, Kappa Pro 15LF2)

Thanks Martin and Nate for the information. I ordered the Kappalite 3015 LF's. The place online I ordered them from is having them drop shipped directly from Eminence to me. Can't wait to get them installed and try the enclosures out. Once again, thanks for the info.
