15` vs 18`

18` or 15` which driver r better for bass ????

It has to be an 18. But, let me qualify that. You don't need a large speaker to produce bass. Bass frequency is not dependent on size. An 8" hi fi speaker in a small room will produce what appears to be, lower bass than you will hear in a large PA system. A big speaker will push a larger quantity of air towards you in the form of frequency. It's all down to throw.

For the last few months I have actually changed to multiple 12" drive units.

In your example above do you not think that multiple 8" drive units given a suitable low Fs and a decent Xmax would probably do just as well as the 18".

Bitzo I am the wrong person to ask, strictly a Reflex man. I positively hate small rear chamber folded horns with a passion. Give me the subtle 2nd HD of a reflex any time.

I realise that I am very much on my own with this but cannot help what my ears tell me or at least what I think they tell me as there is no getting away from the fact that it may be psychological.
