JBL 2121 or 2123????

So I got these JBL Drivers. The magnet itself says it is a JBL 2121. BUT The Cone has 2123 Written on it and the Magnet has the 2121 crossed out and 2123 written. Is this just a common rebuild for these drivers?

Also, I got a bunch of EV12s Sitting around, some one give me ideas.

what ev 12 are they....

12S Proline, they have been reconed a few times but are still good. Trying to decide what would be better to build a mid cab with, 2 EV12S, or 2 JBL i Started the thread about.

what are the specs for the ev drivers.....

the jbl 2121 wasnt that manufactured in the l8t 70's!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, I got a bunch of old stuff lying around. My brother in law ran a live sound company and left it all to his sister. And i'm trying to figure out the value of some of these old things lol

I have a load of old mckenzie speakers too that i need to use up 4 12's and 4 18's




and all in original condiction well apart from age....

The only thing i thought of doing was building a fane design. for them old skool cab.......
The chassis dont look there best but they are just plane alli no paint i gave one a polish and it came up as good as new. The cones are in very good nick no damage and all the glue holding them together etc is sound.

Those are nice, never seen one on this side of the pond.

I'm looking to build compact mid cabs, but was trying to figure out which would be a better candidate. It's looking like the EVM12S are it, as they can be rebuilt cheaply over here.

Generally i'm running smaller, live rock venues and these would be under a couple JBL 2445J's
And at the moment, 18" Scoops, but i'm looking to change to the EV T-18. Trying to stay light and compact
