How many Void Drivers on FSP need reconing?

Apparently recone kits for these are rare, but if there are sufficient number of blown drivers number in UK, there is new reconing possibility "up north".

was it tekasis who couldnt get the V1000 recones untill he made a big fuss on the sp forum?

Could be possible reconing void driver with pd recone kit? How do TS change?

Don't think it's as straightforward as that.

RMJ tells me he would need to know EXACT voice coil circumference to get custom mandrils for coil winding.


And we know the results when he recones PD186s/PD1850s... So who know's what might happen if he recones a V18-1200
with his own kit. smiley23

Dont know if it was Recone kits, or lack of V18-1000 Tek made noise about, but it worked.... Eventually..

Don't forget the special glue used on V1200, you know, the one that cures as you run the driver in. (resisted smiley face)

But the PD1850 is 5" VC, and the Beyma 18G550 4.5" ?
