Could anyone please recommend a 10" driver for a horn? I'm looking to x-over at 500 Hz so extended high frequency response isn't important, but I am looking to use it down to 70Hz, so it must be capable of handling low frequency equalisation. (this is for hi-fi use)

I've looked at the following drivers, how can I tell if I can safely use low frequency equalisation to extend the low frequency response?
JBL 2012h (300w fs61Hz xmax5mm 100dB/w)
18Sound 10M600 (400w fs70Hz xmax4mm 102dB/w)
B&C 10MD26 (350w fs76Hz xmax1.5mm 100dB/w)
Precision Devices PDN.10MH25 (300w fs79Hz xmax2.6mm 99dB/w)
Beyma 10MI100 (350w fs89Hz xmax2mm 101dB/w)
EV DL10X (300w fs60Hz xmax4.1mm 97dB/w)
Faital Pro W10N8-700 (700w fs56Hz xmax9mm 96dB/w)
RCF L10/L750YK (</font>350w fs68Hz xmax2.5mm 100dB/w)
Volt M2500 (200w fs47Hz xmax0.44mm 99dB/w)

I would personally try simulating it, looking at the driver excursion, and thinking about that. Where driver excursion is low, you can add a bit of EQ. How low are you trying to reach?

The other option would be to port the rear chamber.

I can only speak for the B and C 10MD26. I used it to good effect in my MX350's Which are horns. Size, area, etc. of the horn will have it's affect on any speaker. All volt 10's are good.

Peace and goodwill to all speaker builders
