Fane SB 1000w was created by saul
anyone used these? and if so, in what context?

got a set of brand spankers down the lockup, looking forward to firing them up.

on paper theyre fairly sensitive. i hearly they play nicely in BPH

smiley20 absolutely love ours. extremely musical compared to any other drivers we've had in our bph cab's and they certainly PUNCH smiley34
have been running 3 off each channel on a K10

Hc - Hg/2 = 5.5 smiley3 , BL=24,

Don't get carried away with the power rating, or setting HPF too low.

after seeing how much spanners moved a set of fane XB on sub, :o which sports a meaty 6.5mm of true xmax, i think 5.5 will be ok on midbass. we shall see smiley36

You didn't fancy used 186s/XBs as opposed to new SBs for Midbass ?

Bought a set of 186, tried them. were ok, but not sensitive enough. Xb don't play high enough, probably due to ribbed cone. And I couldn't find any at the time

certainly don't consider the SB to be a 1000w driver. treating it more like a 500 atm. smiley36

oh and new set of SB was same price as used set of PD186...
