my brains still a bit muddy so i'll do my best.
the speakers are utterly utterly lovely, extremely loud and clear. we ran them from either side of a chevin a500, the fact that we're not trying to make the 12s stretch too far made a massive difference. very very pleased with these.
will get some pics up later

it's definitely an idea (thanks for the vote of confidence), we've got to sort our midbass and our minirig first though.
i think it's appropriate to link to this thread on the other side. one of the most informative i've found

It seems great minds think alike... That's pretty much exactly how I did my rear bowls. For cable access to the bowl I used a cable gland to keep things air tight. I used 6mmaluminium for the back plate to conduct as much heat as possible out of such a small chamber. I think it took as long to make the bowls as it did to make the rest of the box.
I used to run them active until I had my DR480 stolen. These days I high pass the 1" with a Link Dynamics 3.5khz filter. I don't lowpass the 6.5" as it drops off like a stone after 3.5khz anyway.

dom, did you attenuate either the 6" or the 1"? i thought they sounded great but the schematic on speakerstore's site shows an L pad on the 6".

after mulling over things what would people think to having this with 2 of the 12" sections from an mt122 below it? pure overkill or good plan? (it is a 1" cd in their isnt it?)Edited by: sKs01

if you were to array them youd ruin into problems, the dispersion is different on the mt122 to the limmer

It's 75 x 45 I'm told. Having a fiddle at the moment.
MT122 is 40 x 25
Conclusion:
I'd list the reasons, but I don't have the time, sorry. Design a new CD horn for that angle, I guess.
