after recommendations for subs was created by Pete
Hi
Any recommendations for design and build of 2 sub bass bins.
The boxes will work with 2 Yamaha C115V Concert Series speakers. www.yamahaproaudio.com/global/en/product...bv_series/lineup.jsp
These are 1000w peak and 500w program and work very nicely in Folk Festival venues of about 400 people run in stereo.
Amping for these is a matched Yamaha P5000s.
www.yamahaproaudio.com/global/en/product...s/specifications.jsp
Subs at the moment are 2 EV built 400w TL boxes powered by a P7000s.
Crossovers are either:
direct from rear of amp settings,
a mono EV XEQ2(125Hz),
or Biamp SM23 configureable stereo 3 or 2 way x-over.
I would like to recycle the 400w EV drivers from the TL's and am seriously considering building the Cubos which I found here as they look great and would be a lot cheaper than the EV MTL's.
any ideas
thanks
Pete

Welcome Pete. Strongly suggest you find what the parameters are of the drivers you want to build boxes for. They will determine what cab design would be suitable etc.

thanks Reality sound.
What are the driver and enclosure parameters that need to be aligned to optimise the build.
cheers

You need to find out the parameters of your woofers eg.-
