You've designed a very sharp bottom-end rolloff. This causes the group delay peak (amplitude response and group delay response are related). But a sharp rolloff as you've designed also gives the best LF extension and efficiency for a given cabinet size.
So you could choose to soften the low-end knee and get less GD peak but a slightly higher -3dB point.
But I think 40ms at 35Hz isn't too bad. I'd maybe try and get it down to 25ms or so and call it a day.
GD is much more audible in kick and upper bass, so it's important not to develop a second (big) GD peak at the upper end - you have not, so that's good.
